Tim was born and raised in southwestern Connecticut. 
He briefly studied architecture at the University of Maryland at
College Park before transferring to the University of Massachusetts at
Amherst, where he studied sculpture and art history.  In 2007, he displayed
his first body of work in his thesis exhibition entitled 'Alchemy.' 
Shortly thereafter, he was invited to create more work for his debut
solo exhibition at the Hampden Gallery in Amherst in early 2009, entitled 'The Resulting Effect.'  Upon moving to Cambridge in May, Tim was invited to Gallery 263 for his second solo exhibition, entitled 'In search of common ground.'
